העיצוב

התליון עוקב אחרי גבולות ישראל, מרמת הגולן בצפון ועד אילת בדרום, והמרכז נשאר פתוח. טבעת חיבור עגולה ותפס חלק בחלק העליון מחזיקים אותו על השרשרת. בכנרת משובצת אבן אחת בשיבוץ של שלוש שיניים, מתחת לרמת הגולן. בים המלח משובצות ארבע אבנים בשורה אנכית לאורך הגבול המזרחי.

גובה התליון 30 מ״מ ורוחבו 9 מ״מ, ללא התפס.

מתכת

זהב 14K או 18K, בצבע צהוב, ורוד או לבן. ב-18K יש יותר זהב טהור, ולכן הצבע מעט חם יותר והמתכת מעט רכה יותר. 14K קשה יותר ומחזיק טוב יותר בענידה יומיומית.

אבנים

טיפול

לשטוף במים חמימים, סבון עדין ומברשת שיניים רכה, ולייבש במטלית רכה. להוריד את השרשרת לפני שחייה בבריכה עם כלור. לאחסן בנפרד כדי שהאבנים לא ישרטו תכשיטים אחרים.

Gold Israel Necklace with Lab Diamonds

An open outline of the map of Israel in gold, with five stones set where the water is: one at the Sea of Galilee and four in a row along the Dead Sea. Choose lab grown diamonds or moissanite. Designed and made by Sami Zeira.

The Design

The pendant follows the borders of Israel from the Golan Heights in the north to Eilat in the south, with the center left open. A round jump ring and a smooth bail at the top hold it on the chain. The Sea of Galilee (Kinneret) has a single stone in a 3-prong setting, tucked under the Golan. The Dead Sea (Yam HaMelach) has four stones set in a vertical row along the eastern border.

Size

The pendant is 30 mm (1.18") tall and 9 mm (0.35") wide, not including the bail.

Metal

14K or 18K gold, in yellow, rose, or white. 18K has more pure gold, so the color is a little warmer and the metal is a little softer. 14K is harder and handles daily wear better.

Stones

Choose lab grown diamonds or moissanite. Lab grown diamonds have the same chemical makeup, hardness, and sparkle as mined diamonds. Moissanite is a different gemstone (silicon carbide). It is nearly as hard as diamond, gives off more colorful sparkle, and costs less. Total stone weight is 0.7 ct with lab grown diamonds. The moissanite option uses stones of the same size.

Chain

Order the pendant on its own, or add a 1 mm wide gold chain in the same karat and color as the pendant.

14K: a 42 cm (16.5") chain adds $182. A 45 cm (17.7") chain adds $189.

18K: a 42 cm (16.5") chain adds $237. A 45 cm (17.7") chain adds $246.

Care

Wash with warm water, mild soap, and a soft toothbrush, then dry with a soft cloth. Take it off before swimming in chlorine pools. Store it separately so the stones don't scratch your other jewelry.
